|The Path of Umdze: Training and Refresher Workshop (following Sunday sitting)
with Susan Keeley and Warner Keeley
Sun November 17th: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
An umdze is a timekeeper and chant leader for sitting meditation. Being an umdze is a powerful mindfulness-awareness practice. In serving your sangha and center through this form you are walking the path of a Bodhisattva, and getting to know your own mind even better.
We will cover everything from setting up the room, opening the shrine, creating a practice container, leading chants and learning to strike that gong!
Pre-requisites: Members who have completed Level III or higher and have an established practice on a consistent basis, as well as all current umdzes are encouraged to take this as a refresher course. There is no obligation to umdze after this training.
